Environment (Adopt-a-Roadway Cleanup)

First Christian participates in the City of Loveland’s Adopt-a-Roadway program.  We adopted a two-mile section of US 287 in 2009.  Our adopted portion of the highway runs south from CO 402 to SW 42nd Street.  Volunteers from First Christian gather three to four times per year and pick up trash alongside the roadway.  The City furnishes reflective vests, road signs, and garbage bags.  We furnish the energy to keep our local environment cleaner.  Work groups normally meet on a Saturday morning and work for two to three hours.  We typically remove several hundred pounds of litter from the sides of the highway each time out.  If you have a passion for keeping the environment clean, First Christian has a mission for you!
