Making Music

The music program at First Christian has a stellar reputation in the community and continues a long tradition of excellence.  Under the direction of music minister Neil Forsythe, musical expression takes a variety of forms at First Christian.  Music ranges from classical Christian choral hymns with organ and piano accompaniment to energetic light Christian rock with keyboard and guitar accompaniment.  There is a musical style to fit everyone’s liking at First Christian.  Many of our members participate in making music.  They play instruments, sing, ring bells, and express their talents to the delight of our membership and the Loveland community.  If you love to make music, First Christian may be the opportunity you are seeking!

Our church produces and performs two annual cantatas, one in the Christmas season and a second near Easter.  Our cantatas include both a full choir and an orchestral accompaniment.  Musicians from the Loveland community join those at First Christian to “make a joyful noise” at these annual events.  Look for dates and times as those seasons approach and plan to attend.  You will not be disappointed!  In addition to the special performances done at FCC, our weekly music programs provide opportunities for vocalists and instrumentalists to participate.  We are always looking for members in the Chancel Choir, Faithtones (the church’s praise team), and the Festive Ringers.  You can read about each of these on this site.
